They made surprise attacks on lonely places where they knew they would no WebbI like Hirdmen. Scare trait is nice, and they are well rounded, even without the javelins that Norse Warriors have. They perform well against Legio Comitatenses in battle, as they work better in sustained combat then Huscarls, who I use to smash enemy lines with 3 or more units making a concentrated charge into one enemy.
