WebAnet have said they plan to continue with GW2 after EoD, but Anet have said a lot of things that never came true, so we really just don't know until after EoD. Could run for another decade, EoD could be cancelled, it's pointless to speculate. Just enjoy what exists while it exists. No online game lasts forever. Web1 or 2 living story seasons left the maintenance mode. The problem with gw2 old code even older engine causing new anet gw2 development to be extremely slow for new systems and from last season slow content as well. Some simple additions like they did in gw1 was simply hard mode hard maps increased reward chances.
